Facilitator Responsibilities

  1. Love and encourage participants. People are more receptive to spiritual truth when they have been loved. People want to know how much you care before they care how much you know. We recommend organizing one social event during the class. This may be for a dessert, a meal, or any other relaxed setting that will encourage the development of relationships.
  2. Be a model of faithfulness. Luke 6:40 reads, “Everyone, after he has been fully trained, will be like his teacher.” Be faithful to arrive early, pray consistently for participants, know the memory verses fluently, and have your homework prepared.
  3. Serve the participants by lovingly holding them accountable. This accountability will help those in your group apply what they are learning.
  4. Follow the recommended procedure for conducting the study.
